Our history
The beginning of New Loop
On a spring day during the corona lockdown in 2020, Gitte Saaby Kjær, Anders Barsøe and Anders Morgenthaler met on Amager Strand with a common ambition: to build a deposit system for packaging. Anders and Anders were already working on a project with washable cups for Copenhagen Airport, while Gitte had a goal to imitate Dansk Retursystem to include take-away packaging. This meeting marked the birth of New Loop.
Our vision
New Loop is "born" circular with a clear vision to reduce the use of disposable packaging and CO2 consumption. Our goal is to create a sustainable system where the packaging can be reused many times and recycled into new products when it reaches the end of its life cycle. In this way, we help conserve the earth's resources and reduce waste.
Funding and partnerships
Since our inception in 2020, we have received funding from SME Green and MUDP, among others. These funds have helped us grow and establish several valuable partnerships. Our journey has been characterised by innovation and a strong dedication to sustainability, and we are proud to offer solutions that make a real difference to the environment.
