The solution
Coffee in cups that are used again and again and again
At Building Green Copenhagen in the Forum, coffee was served in New Loop's recycled cups. Guests could enjoy their coffee without worrying about deposits. When they were finished, the cup simply had to be returned to one of the collection bins placed around the event. Simple and straightforward.
A solution that is also easy for the organiser
We didn't just provide the cups, but the entire system around them. Collection containers, materials showing how the system worked and a clear plan for handling - all delivered in a way that was easy for both guest and organiser.
After the event, we collected the cups, washed them and prepared them for their next use. We shared the data with Building Green so they could gain insight into the overall impact and how many cups were returned.
Cups that last longer
Our cups are made to be used again and again. They are only recycled after they have been used many times. This means less waste and smarter use of resources.
The collaboration between New Loop and Building Green showed that choosing to recycle doesn't have to be difficult. With a simple system and a little extra planning, coffee cups can have a long life and make a difference - with no hassle for guests.
How does it work?
How to return the cup
Step 1.
GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE
The guest buys a cup of coffee in one of the coffee bars. The coffee is served in a New Loop coffee cup without having to pay a deposit.
Step 2.
Dispose of the cup in a collection container
When the guest has finished their cup, return it to one of the many collection bins.
Step 3.
Collection and pick-up
The cups from the collection bins are collected and New Loop collects and washes the used cups so they are ready for reuse.
